The current study introduces an efficient ROS-responsive enzyme-based nanobiosystem and its biological impact in colon cancer therapy. Based on physicochemical properties, AuNPs-PEG-RNase A effectively induced apoptosis in SW-480 colon cancer cells and resulted in a significant reduction in cancer cell viability.

In this study biocompatible gold nanoparticles (GNPs) were synthesized using chondroitin sulfate (CHS) as reducing and capping materials. CHS-GNPs were characterized (UV, XRD-FTIR and TEM) and their biological (antibacterial, antioxidant and cytotoxicity effects and blood compatibility) and electrochemical properties were evaluated.
